Still maintaining his trademark sound with smooth soundscapes and rugged grooves, the combination of murky vocals and a dangerously venomous bassline contrast for maximum effect. 'Vanguard' offers a deliciously smooth angle to this release. From the depths of the Perez sample vaults springs another rustic riff, chopped and rearranged over layers of hypnotic beats to create the focal groove. With elements of funk clearly present throughout, the track escalates offering delicate vocals that float Elegantly.
