Cementing their Shogun status, Document One's ‘Cosmic Funk EP’ sees the intergalactic travellers having returned home. 2018 has been an incredible year for the Oxford duo who display a mastery of low end.
Look up into the abyss and you’ll see the glowing outline of EP title track ‘Cosmic Funk’. A swirling nebular blast with widespread support already peaking people's interest, this is an instantly spottable constellation. Surfing the rings Saturn, ‘Reaching Out’ pulses with funk and a jet-propelled bassline - perfect for kicking back and watching the event horizon. ‘Aiight’ takes the darkness of a solar eclipse and morphs it into a homing beacon calling crowds onto the dance floor, crashing through the subwoofer like it’s just entered warp speed. ‘We Got It’ is steppier than the first footprints on the moon. Leaving craters in it’s wake, this alien rave horn should be under lock and key in Area 51 - The perfect way to close a 4 track offering of the finest cuts is the cosmos.
They say in space, no one can hear you scream. It’s a scientific fact that no matter where you are in the universe, you’ll be hearing this EP loud and clear.
