SHA009 - Released 17/09/2006
Volume 2 of the 'Shogun Assasins' EP series bringing you some of the finest talent from across the Drum & Bass spectrum.
First up, Noisia's mighty Brainstitch gets the remix treatment from one of D&B's hottest producers Break. Break has taken the original, twisted it up with signature beats, delayed vocal stabs and of course, flawless production.
Kismet oozes quality, charm and provides seven minutes of sublime music. Combining hearty, textured breaks with sombre licks and sweeping pads, all underlined by a warm sub bass tone that grooves in the way that only a D-Bridge tune can.
Friction & K-Tee unite once again on the delicious, bass-driven summertime roller that is Lazydayz. Drenched with spacious pads and string licks that set the mood from the intro, Lazydayz then casually rolls through with a powerfully skanking bassline, strong enough to shake any dance floor.
Blu Mar Ten show diversity and confidence with the hard-hitting, Deep Inside. Exciting edits and progressive soundscapes are encapsulated by growling synths, and a driving stab bass that ensure that it works as well on the dance floor, as it does to the listener at home.
