Hailing from Italy, Was A Be are a production duo making a lot of waves in a very short amount of time. With tracks supported by the likes of Noisia, Rockwell, Friction, Ivy Lab and more, it was their completely unsolicited but lashing remix of Friction & K-Tee’s ‘Set It Off’ that really brought them to the attention of the Shogun Audio crew. The resulting ‘Blind’ EP is a lesson in forward thinking bass weight that marks their card firmly for the future.

“More than a year ago we made an unofficial remix of Friction & K-Tee’s ‘Set It Off’. Both Ivan and I organise a lot of D&B events in Italy and we sent the track to a few of the contacts we’ve made through our parties. One of those contacts was Tom Rockwell who played it during a Shogun event after which Keir and Ed started paying us a lot of attention! They later asked us for some new material to select from and present to Shogun…and well, here we are.
